Both our negative and positive expectations of how the future will be are inaccurate. But, every time we imagine something, we have a mini experience of it. If we repeatedly imagine unwanted outcomes, we will suffer in anticipation of something that may never happen. If we imagine a positive result, we can enjoy the feeling of calm and well-being.
