Tool #3: Ho’oponopono is an ancient Hawaiian healing technique. It entails taking responsibility for how we see and interpret everything that comes into our field of awareness. When dealing with a challenge, we repeat the mantra, “I’m sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you,” while thinking about the situation that causes the stress. “I’m sorry” for seeing this situation as out of alignment with harmony, “forgive me” for putting myself through this, “thank you” for realigning my thinking with harmony and “I love you,” to affirm what’s essential for well being…
Self-love.

Hello! Thank you for sharing this. I read thru the link and have to question things like remorse over causing a tornado. Other than that, I’m on board with trying this out. Wondering how often to practice these phrases throughout the day?
Hi Deeann,
I practice the phrase anytime I have a thought that is fearful or isn’t loving. This isn’t really about feeling remorseful over anything, it’s just taking responsibility for every thought we have about what happens. Life is just happening and we can’t see the big picture or know why anything happens as it does. Good and bad are relative ideas. What we do see is filtered through our conditioning, which is filled with erroneous beliefs. I know it’s a hard idea to wrap our heads around, that we’re creating everything, but if we think that we are the energetic force expressing and it expresses through everything, then we are, in effect, creating all that happens. But we can’t see why, so we say “I’m sorry for seeing this out of alignment with the truth that all is harmonious. It’s just our minds that say it isn’t harmonious. Hard to put this all into words, but doing it is magical. Thanks for your comment 🙂
