If someone’s behavior feels unjust or wrong, repeatedly recycling judgments in our minds is extremely self-defeating. It activates our egos and negatively impacts our own self-esteem. That’s because the more we condemn others, the more we expect them to do the same to us. This makes us unconsciously uneasy because we’re actually judging ourselves in a round about way.
