In chaotic times it’s easier to recognize a sense of greater kinship with our fellow humans. We actually share more in common than separates us: Our life span is limited; We’re all subject to natural disasters and epidemics and; We’re all trying to have the best experience we can with the information and resources at our disposal. This last point causes the most human conflict. We have such different information, opportunities and constraint that we perceive our interests differently on the continuum between self-preservation and greater societal well-being.
