“A smile is a curve that sets everything straight.” Phyllis Diller.
A smile is a gift that immediately gives back to you. Serotonin, dopamine, endorphins and oxytocin are the feel good neurotransmitters that are largely responsible for your happiness. They lower stress, heart rate and blood pressure, relax your body and act as natural pain relievers. It’s amazing that something as simple as a smile activates these chemicals in your brain. Imagine what laughter does! Find things to smile and laugh about everyday and remember, whatever you do, always give 100%. Unless…

Dear mam
What do you think a life well lived according to the subjectivity of your perception?
Hi Sarath,
To me a life well lived means being joyful, helpful, compassionate and living in one’s integrity.
Dear mam
These insights I read and intellectualy I understand.this is the same way when I read a book.
I understand intellectually and can write about it talk about it.but..
It is not becoming a part of mu experiential reality.when situations that demanded a different response from me ,even though I know there is a different response which I have internalised from books and literature,I react to the same situation in the same compulsive ways.
Love n hugs

I understand. Our conditioning is quite strong and becoming conscious of the underlying beliefs that cause us to react the way we do is the first step. Then trying to remain conscious and practicing new ways of responding to life situations is a moment by moment job. The most important part is to become conscious of your programming and then it does get easier. Every time you catch yourself reacting from an unconscious and conditioned place and you can gently remind yourself that you have the ability to choose to respond consciously in a way that will bring greater joy and harmony to you. It’s a daily practice that takes time. Be patient with yourself and loving.
..awesome
Independent of an external situation ,how will we keep our inner blood chemistry sweet with full of happy oxytoxin, smiling serotonin, pleasant endorphins..?
Smiling for no external reason will do it! Just turning up the corners of your mouth will activate a smile which activates the chemicals.
