Politics functions in an ‘us against them’ paradigm, stemming from a false premise of separation. It’s fun in sports, but insufficient for determining our social fate. Everyone on this planet is an expression of and animated by the same energetic force. Fighting with one another is like two waves doing battle, which amounts to the ocean warring with itself. While the play of opposites is necessary (wrong helps us know right), there’s a more expanded truth to consider. Combining together the law of polarity with the awareness of our oneness would create the necessary…
Quantum leap.

This reminds me of your recent gratitude titled “All One”. That is the way I look at real politics. It is the collective striving for manifestation of the unity you describe so well with your “false sense of separation”. Communitarian politics, like the procedures of Mennonites and the Society of Friends, know we are all one and offer us a politics of the future. The crazy politics we see now I perceive as just the last gasp of a culture dying because it never did have a solid foundation. I think competition is a large contribution to our disease. Winning and losing of course get us no where good.
I agree with you Larry, I think we’ve hit bottom and are about to find a more human, mature and organzied way to run this country. agree about competition. Only good for sports, if you’re interested.
