It may be ironic, but the behavior we don’t like in others often reflects our own. It’s far easier to dislike in others, the behavior we don’t like in ourselves. It’s difficult to objectively see faults in ourselves because our egos are threatened by anything that makes us look bad. That’s why paying attention to what we disdain in others is self-revelatory.
