The law of polarity asserts that everything in reality is defined in relation to two extremes. These opposites are themselves the same in nature, differing only in degree. Hot and cold describe different degrees of temperature. A dark place simply has less light. Something short has less height. Quiet exists when there’s less sound. You characterize something as bad when it contains less (of what you consider to be) good. When you realize that nothing is inherently as you see it, you’re less likely to condemn or oversimplify reality into just black and white.
Shades of Grey.

Oh, Yes indeed! I think history shows us it’s not only shades of grey, but shades of purest ignorance! Any one of us who thinks any one of us has figured it out . . . entangled quantum states, anyone?
