Right and wrong are merely self-created labels you use to navigate your way through reality. Even though nothing is intrinsically good or bad, your emotional and psychological experience depends upon the labels you choose. This is the ultimate control you have over your life. You lighten your load by consciously choosing labels that help you move through life with ease. What you now find bad or wrong won’t just magically go away, but reclassifying it definitely changes your experience. Life happens. How you spin it is…
Up to you.
Steve and Jarl
Quite often, early in the morning when my “gratitude” arrives, I spend some time playing with it. It helps me notice the magnitude of what I’m reading and clear away the pall of anxiety to which I awaken.
I imagine that I’m going to print it into a wall hanging, and often as not I do print it. I change all the language to “I” statements, choose a different font and font size, and rearrange margins until it looks right to me. By then I begin to feel it as my own thing and I become seven times more grateful, and aware of what I put myself through.
Thanks to both of you, as always!
Larry
