It’s normal to occasionally be unsure about whether or not you care to do something. But delaying your response to others is like leading them on. Suggesting you might be a ‘yes’ when you’re probably a ‘no’ actually isn’t kind. The longer you wait, the harder it’ll be for you to say ‘no’ and the more disappointed they will be. It’s easier for all involved to turn a ‘no’ into a ‘yes’ than a ‘maybe’ into a ‘no’. Try it out the next time you’re on the fence about something. Just say…
‘No’ for now.
