Nothing that causes suffering is real. Life is just energy constantly changing form while you’re busy layering your interpretation onto it. That may be difficult to accept because everything feels so real when it’s happening. But people react in different ways to the very same stimuli. Even pain is pleasurable to some people because it makes them feel alive. Since you’re creating your experience, when something doesn’t please you, redirect your attention and energy. Remember the play of opposites is necessary. Without the aggravation…
You wouldn’t know the joy.

Line by line this all makes great sense and is compatible with all the other lessons. And yet, my overall reaction is “Gulp!”. It is quite a mouthful, and really requires a new concept of reality. I think the thrust is that our reaction to things is not real, including our reaction that we are suffering. Learning to live that far from my reactions to life is quite a jolt to absorb! I have witnessed it, so I know it’s possible.
