Fear of failure can cause you to create annoying distractions for yourself that prevent you from realizing your dreams. Inventing drama to occupy your attention is one of the most common forms this resistance takes. If you’re a drama queen (or even just a princess,) take a moment to ask yourself what you’re afraid of. If you’re fearful that inner peace will be boring – don’t be. There’s a whole world of joy that awaits you beneath these useless spats and spasms. It’s hiding where you may be least likely to look…
In the present moment.
Steve and Jarl
This is exactly my story, so this little piece is deeply tantalizing. I am learning to be mindfully present, but so far my presence remains accompanied by my constant anxiety. I hope with patience to be present with enough confidence to crowd out the anxiety. Until then, I have to feel that part, too, as part of my perception of what is happening. I do know to be patient and persistent, and to believe I can be healed!
