Since we all have vastly divergent pasts, predilections, proclivities and potentialities, we can’t presume to know what’s reasonable or logical to anyone else. Judging or critiquing their choices from our vantage point makes as little sense as a giraffe condemning an elephant because it can’t reach the higher branches on the trees. We don’t have to love everything others do, but it behooves us (and enhances civility in society) to assume that their choices have integrity and are reasonable from their perspective. Listening and communicating with a truly open mind in spite of differences…
Promotes understanding.
