Some planning is necessary and useful, but spending too much time projecting into the future can cause us to miss out on what’s happening now. Even when our planned future does come, if we’re not in the habit of being present we’ll miss out on the real juice of it. Life is unpredictable. Happiness is the result of living contentedly with whatever shows up in this moment. When we meet it with a positive attitude and keep our attention on what’s happening now, the future usually takes care of itself. Plan what’s necessary, but practice…
