Some planning is necessary and useful, but spending too much time projecting into the future can cause you to miss out on what’s happening now. Even when your planned future does come, if you’re not in the habit of being present you’ll miss out on the real juice of it. Life is unpredictable. Happiness is the result of living contentedly with whatever shows up in this moment. When you meet it with a positive attitude and keep your attention on what’s happening now, the future usually takes care of itself. Plan what you must, but practice…

Being present.
