When we don’t perform as well as we’d hoped, it can be embarrassing. It’s natural to want to be considered intelligent, funny, charismatic or athletic, etc… It’s common to feel embarrassed when (we think) we aren’t perceived the way we want. Learning to be okay with occasional ‘sub-optimal’ versions of ourselves, not only helps us to be more self-loving, it will help us do better the next time because we won’t be so pressured to perform well in order maintain an image. Being at peace with every aspect of ourselves frees us to be…
Authentically ourselves.
