We’re in charge of where we direct our attention. What we focus on and how we interpret what we see is what determines how we feel. When we find ourselves focusing primarily on negative aspects of people and situations, we might need to take a look at how we’re feeling about ourselves. Habitual judgment of others means we’re probably being too harsh with ourselves and projecting it outward. Once we honestly acknowledge this, we can earnestly investigate why we’re being so critical.
