Our mental chatter keeps us so distracted thinking of the past or worrying about the future, that the present moment is often just an unappreciated blur. We spend our time zoned out in our own mental constructs of those other times. If we stop and actually listen to the conversation going on in our heads, we’ll see that it usually involves fear about our identity, nervously speculating about scary futures or judging ourselves and others over regretful pasts. This voice keeps us feeling un-empowered. Our only real point of power is in…
The present moment.
