Everyone occasionally deals with hardship and suffering. Some are minor inconveniences, while others might be extremely painful. Trying to avoid feeling the pain could cause us to miss the richness and purpose of the experience. When we earnestly feel our feelings, drop resentment and forgive, love generously (ourselves and others), and let go of the debris of the past, we maximize the present and gain the most from…
Every moment.

Both sisters turned against me at the same time my brother died. He left his life insurance to me. The eldest sister was in shock. She assumed….this was a year ago. Loosing all siblings at once was the worst. They had other reasons as well and many complaints about me and my being better off and they felt I looked down on them. I loved them and even went to a therapist for help in 2015. How does one forgive the words they said and the words they didn’t say? a more important to me is how can I ever understand them?
Ps. I love the wisdom coming into my mail box from you….
Hi Susan,
I’m sorry to hear that happened to you, I know it’s very disturbing. I know because a similar event happened to me as well. To make a long story short, all my siblings turned against me at one point and I heard about it from a nephew. It really hurt, of course, to feel so misunderstood. I searched my soul and realized that they were just at a place where that felt right to them. They were coming from a small place and I didn’t want to meet them in that same place. So, I used a technique called Ho’oponopono on the situation and it really worked. Ho’oponopono means to “make right.” It’s an ancient Hawaiian family healing technique that works on everything. It’s based on an esoteric concept that the world is happening inside us and that’s the only place from which we can heal it. It might be difficult to make that leap that there is no outside world, but it doesn’t matter if you believe it. Just doing the practice is enough. If you do it you will find that healing will occur. You adopt the idea that you created the scenario in your own head. You definitely created the way you experienced it and that is what needs healing. Every time I thought of any one of them, I’d repeat the mantra: “I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you, I love you.” It’s said to my inner self, “I’m sorry for seeing out of alignment with harmony, Forgive me for seeing out of alignment with harmony, Thank you for realigning me with harmony and I love you.” Saying the mantra ‘cleans’ the situation inside so that it no longer appears on the outside. Please do try it. It’s so simple and so powerful and it becomes the greatest gift there is. When we realize that we are creating our own world, we can uncreate what we don’t want. You’ll be thankful that your siblings gave you this opportunity. 🙂 I have a totally positive relationship with everyone in my family now. We all love one another. I’m sure they are relieved that I didn’t write them off for their ridiculous behavior and that I didn’t harbor resentment. We never even talked about it. It’s never too late to rewrite this scenario. Also, If you remember that nothing is ever personal, how they feel about you is really about them. They are reacting to their idea of you, not who you are. Their idea of you is a reflection of how they feel about themselves. But you can’t really solve any of this at the level of the mind. That’s why Ho’oponopono comes in to the rescue.
