The circumstances of each moment are always neutral until we assign meaning to them. We decide whether something meets our expectations, conforms to our sense of reality, whether it foretells good or is an ominous signal of a troubled future. It’s difficult for our egos to accept that our classifications are limited, biased, myopic, self-centered and often inaccurate.
