Even the surest predictions are occasionally wrong. It’s natural to gauge our expectations, assumptions and attitudes upon averages and generalities gathered from the past, but nothing is guaranteed. We can deal with this realization by trying even harder to make sure the future conforms to our expectations or we can heighten our appreciation of the good fortune we currently enjoy. The former approach is exhausting and futile because we can’t control reality. The later approach encourages us to celebrate what have, who we’re with and the marvelous possibilities that lie before us…
With gratitude.
