Defining our self-worth through comparison necessitates critiquing others. The ego wants so badly to consider itself superior and depends on this status just to feel okay about itself. The subconscious mind doesn’t differentiate between the criticized and the criticizer. Every judgment we have actually registers as a self-criticism and leaves us constantly scrambling to fuel our self-image by putting others down and falsely elevating ourselves. This practice never yields authentic well-being. The truth is, we don’t need to prove anything. We’re already worthy or we wouldn’t be here. And so is…
Everyone else.
