The better we feel about ourselves, the better we feel about others. The more we judge ourselves, the more we judge others. In fact, our judgments of others can reveal what we don’t accept in ourselves. Our egos resist this concept, as if we objectively see what’s wrong with them. That would only be true if our response to their perceived flaws was compassion rather than contempt.
