The way others behave toward us is rarely personal. If we look below the surface, we will often see that their behavior is driven by their state of mind: arrogance can stem from feelings of unworthiness, rudeness from anger or frustration or aggressiveness from insecurity. This isn’t an infallible guide for decoding others’ behavior, but a pointer showing that their actions are based on how they feel inside rather than how they feel about us.
