Our judgments of others provide useful information to help us gain greater self-awareness. Because we perceive life through our own viewfinder, our interpretations and conclusions are predicated on our past experience and present understanding. Since we aren’t objective arbiters of a common reality, our judgments tell us most about our relationship with ourselves. The very things that aggravate us may be viewed lovingly by others. What we dislike in them are often the aspects we’ve disowned in ourselves. What we love, admire and appreciate in them shows us what we may be overlooking or taking for granted…

In ourselves.
