Throughout history humans have repeatedly proved the inaccuracy of ‘truths’ that were previously undisputed and the validity of what before seemed to be fanciful delusions. It’s notable that people who make those discoveries are very rarely cynical, reflexive naysayers or chronic skeptics. They maintain open minds, explore alternatives, willingly consider diverse viewpoints and never automatically reject. Astute students of life understand that the consequences of cynicism, suspicion and disbelief are far more limiting and destructive than those that accompany occasional gullibility.
