When you’re feeling sad, anxious or scared, ignoring the feelings or fighting them won’t help. The short cut through the discomfort necessitates acknowledging the truth of how you feel, feeling the sensations brought about by these emotions and then mentally cleaning on the feelings. When you catch yourself stewing over what’s making you feel bad, replace it with something that will make you feel better and heal the emotional hole you’ve been digging. Think about the situation, allow yourself to feel the associated feelings, then repeat the mantra…

‘Thank you, I love you’.
