Comparing yourself with others is a high-risk, low return proposition. If you learn about excellence from others, it can help you understand what’s possible. But, building up your ego by comparing yourself favorably with others, will eventually make you feel worse because, inevitably, someone better than you will come along. When that happens, you’ll feel just as bad as you felt good before.
