When we’re out of sync with ourselves we feel bad. Though it often seems like something outside of us causes our feelings, our feelings originate in our own mental environment. When we live out of alignment with our values, we set ourselves up for feeling anxious or down. The greater the gap between our beliefs and behavior, the more stress we feel. I don’t think you give yourself enough credit. We ALL modulate from conscious to unconscious and back again. That you understand it and actually witness yourself occasionally slip is a sign of your awareness. You deserve to be acknowledged (and acknowledge yourself)!
