Every one of us lives in this world with some degree of self-absorption. We reside in a web fabricated by our own stories. These narratives are often so compelling that we believe our opinions are actually the truth. Our seemingly objective stories generate both heavens and hells for us. Stories that feel good, aren’t a problem. But, when we repeatedly experience suffering, it helps to realize that every narrative we spin is optional. When we do, we can ask ourselves first, if our stories are actually true and second, how we’d feel…

Without them.
