Delayed gratification is smart when it comes to your finances. Sacrificing small treats today enables you to live in grander style later. Though it’s great with money, don’t carry that thinking into your personal life. Waiting to be relaxed and happy until the perfect relationship, job or house comes along, isn’t wise. Thinking you have to meet external requirements to be happy is a hard habit to break. When one goal is accomplished, you’ll just replace it with another one. Don’t delay embracing your joy.
Choose it now.

This is a nice lesson. I have long marveled at people who manage to find joy in prison, in the past and in the present. It shows me what’s possible!
