Your story about the world is created from your beliefs about what is real and true. Elements you draw on for your conclusions come from family, friends and society, but all of it is colored by your unique interpretation. Even though you know that your stories are just as biased as others are, you may still operate under the assumption that yours is fact and theirs is fiction. Here’s the bottom line about any tale you tell yourself: It’s your story and you can cry if you want to.
Or not.
