Scientists discovered that teams maintaining positive, enthusiastic attitudes are much more successful than those who display critical, sarcastic and cynical behavior. They also discovered higher profits connected with approaches that are open-minded and exploratory, rather than ones that focused on defending a point of view. Positive and mutually supportive groups create a broader range of solutions. The negative groups were less productive, tended to repeat themselves, were distrustful and had very little flexibility. A positive, open-minded approach isn’t simple-minded, it’s creative, productive and profitable.
Plus, it’s more fun.
